Ground Hogs Day

Billy missed his second favorite holiday, Ground Hogs Day. His first favorite holiday in Halloween. In the old days he would get a ground hog day card from the Puzzler. It would be in some sort of code. Billy would look forward all year to the receipt of that card. He knew that when that card came in the mail, spring was not far behind.

We haven't been in Iowa lately as we are chasing our future president so we don't know if the Iowa groundhog saw his shadow or not. Here in Florida its hard to find a groundhog...maybe because there are not too many caves. Also the groundhogs might have been lunch for the gators. We do see a lot of squirrels though. Every where you go you see squirrels. I took my faithful camera and captured a few shots....one even shot back. They are everywhere!

Today is Superbowl Sunday, but instead of watching the game, we are invited over th Brian & Sylvias house for a barbeque. Next year the Superbowl will be in Tampa and the people around here are already gearing up for it. Can't wait

When Enough is not enough

We lived with all the presidential hopefuls for 18 plus months until the Iowa caucus and when they left the state there was a certain emptiness. You know those great TV commercials that end in "I'm so and so and I approved this ad" Damn we missed those ads...so we had no alternative than to follow the crowd. We've been to New Hampshire and now Florida and we are sleeping a lot better. Well now they have all gone and are on their way to California.....so I guess we will be packing up again. We are hooked!!!!!

Brass Monkey Alert

To say its been cold would be an understatement. Billy's regulators are sluggish and ice builds up very quickly on the inside of the lung. He has doubled up on blankets when he goes outside to watch Otto shovel the snow. Currently here in Iowa its 7 degrees Fahrenheit.

Good Morning Reston Virginia

Who loves Billy in Reston, Va? A few months ago I subscribed to a page counter which spews out all kinds of facts and figures. It tells me how many of the blog visitors are returning visitors and how many are first time visitors. It also tells me how long they stay on my blog, yada yada yada.

For instance when we went to Dr. O's for dinner I mentioned the Bombay Gin and all of a sudden I was receiving hits from India.....but I digress.

It seems bBilly has a fan in Reston as there have been frequent visits from , I assume one user otr a family. Could Billy have a relative in Reston? Could it secretly be Brian Kilmeade from his weekend home?

Reston....please leave a comment below. We will be taking Billy on the road this spring and plan on making some special visits. We know you are out there.
