The Millstream Brewery had their first event which included the ingredients listed in the title of this post. It appears it is a winning recipe and I suspect it won't be the last. They had L&J BBQ from Tiffin putting out the food and then Charlie Morgan and the Bone Crushers provided the tunes. There was dancing in the streets. I encourage you to go to their website for info on future events.
The Millstream Brewery is Iowa's oldest micro brewery (Founded in 1985) and we are fortunate to have it in our home town. Teresa and Chris and the rest of the crew crank out several different flavors of beer and also root beer and creme soda.
Fran and Wayne had ants in their pants so we suggested that this might be a good alternative from their home bar. They underestimated the commute from their home to Amana or decided to gawk at the flood damage along the way and their arrival for the event had us showing up when some of the partiers were already heading home. Favorite son, John was their co-pilot and perhaps the architect to this scheme.
This event started at 11:00 am....you can't drink beer all day unless you start in the morning.
We spoke with some of the regulars at the "Amana Stammtisch" and it appears that they were there for the opening ceremonies and only left the table for necessary bathroom breaks. I still think "Depends" has a place at an event like this.
